Commercial strategy · Table session

One day with the whole commercial chain at the table.

In short: The Table session by STOF to Grow is one day on which the management team and people from marketing, sales and customer success sit at the table together. We hold short conversations beforehand, a 90-day plan follows within three working days, and after four weeks we look back together. It's a paid first step for those who don't yet know whether a full programme is needed.

The Table session is one day on which the whole commercial chain sits at the table together: the management team, and people from marketing, sales and customer success. By the end of the day, the management team knows which three to five things need to change on Monday morning, and who will pick them up.

It's a good place to start when you sense that growth is sluggish, but don't yet know whether a full programme is needed. One day of clarity, with a plan for the next ninety days, and honest advice about what's needed next. Or isn't.

When to choose the Table session

  • You sense that growth is sluggish, but don't know exactly where it's stuck.
  • The management team wants to look together first, before starting a bigger programme.
  • Marketing, sales and customer success each have their own view of what needs to happen.
  • A new year, a new plan or a new commercial director is coming, and you want a shared starting point.
  • You want the whole chain at the table once, instead of ten separate meetings.

How it differs from the introductory call

The introductory call is free: 45 minutes with Nona or Carlijn, to see where you stand and what a good first step would be. The Table session is that first step: a paid day with the whole commercial chain, with preparation beforehand and a 90-day plan afterwards.

How the Table session works

  1. Look and listen — after an intake, we hold short conversations with people from the chain. We open the day with a short exercise: everyone answers the same questions, without looking at the others.
  2. Make a sharp choice — at the table we put the different views side by side, and together choose the three to five things that need to change first. And therefore what isn't a priority.
  3. Align — for each choice we agree who picks it up and how you'll see that it works. Within three working days of the session, you have the 90-day plan.
  4. Follow through — after four weeks we look back together: what has happened, what's stuck, and what's needed next?

What you'll have at the end

  • A shared picture of where growth is sluggish, seen from across the whole chain.
  • A 90-day plan with the three to five things that change first, each with an owner, a date and a measure.
  • A review after four weeks, and honest advice about the next step.

When it's done

  • The session has been held with the whole chain at the table.
  • The 90-day plan has been delivered within three working days.
  • The review after four weeks has taken place.

What it asks of your team

An intake with the sponsor, short conversations beforehand, and one day with the management team and people from marketing, sales and customer success. The more varied the seats at the table, the more you see.

And then?

The Table session stands on its own. If the day shows that more is needed, a Growth diagnosis or a Positioning sprint may follow. If you start a follow-up programme, we'll discuss how to offset the Table session against it.

Frequently asked questions about the Table session

What does a Table session cost?

The Table session has a fixed price, which you'll hear in the free introductory call. If you then start a follow-up programme, we'll discuss how to offset the Table session against it.

How long does it take?

Two to three weeks in total: an intake and short conversations beforehand, one day at the table, and the 90-day plan within three working days. The review follows after four weeks.

Who needs to be at the table?

The management team, and people from marketing, sales and customer success. Even if there are no separate departments: then we invite the people who fill those roles. The more varied the seats, the more you see.

How is it different from the Growth diagnosis?

The Table session is one day with the whole chain, and delivers a plan for ninety days. The Growth diagnosis is a three-week investigation, with CRM data and interviews, and shows in more depth where growth gets stuck and why. If you don't yet know whether you need that, the Table session is a lighter start.

Who will we be working with?

You'll work with both Nona and Carlijn. We're a team and look together at which expertise and experience fits your challenge best. You have one fixed point of contact, unless we agree otherwise together, and we both know what's going on in your organisation. Who leads the project depends on the project: we bring in the right expertise and always spar with each other. Our approach is documented, so the project keeps moving during illness or holidays.

Is the Table session right for you?
