Solutions

From sharp choices to commercial momentum.

We help you choose a direction, turn it into one clear story and get the organisation moving.

Choosing a starting point

Where do you start?

Most assignments start with one of these three. Pick the situation that looks most like yours.

Positioning sprint

Sound familiar?
Our story no longer fits: you have grown or changed, and everyone tells a different story about why customers choose you.
What you get
A chosen positioning with the proof behind it, and one story that leadership, marketing and sales all tell the same way.
Duration
2 to 3 weeks

Growth diagnosis

Sound familiar?
Marketing and sales are doing a lot, but results are falling short, and it isn't clear yet why.
What you get
Insight into where growth gets stuck, and the three to five changes that matter first, agreed in a decision session with the management team.
Duration
3 weeks

Implementation project

Sound familiar?
The direction and the problem are clear, but alongside the day-to-day work the change doesn't get off the ground.
What you get
One chosen change actually put in place, with criteria agreed up front for when it works, and an owner who carries it on afterwards.
Duration
Agreed up front, per change

Not sure which one fits? That's what the free 45-minute introductory call is for. Bring your challenge to the table

Growth rarely comes down to a single discipline.

A commercial challenge may start with strategy, positioning, marketing or sales. But in practice, everything is connected.

A sharp strategy is worth little if teams interpret it differently. A strong story doesn't work if people don't use it. And a good plan brings no growth if roles, priorities and decision-making don't change.

That is why we don't treat strategy, story and execution as separate parts. We bring them together, so the chosen direction also shows in commercial choices, collaboration and day-to-day behaviour.

Three ways we create momentum

01

Commercial strategy

One sharp commercial choice that gives direction.

View Commercial strategy

Ways to start:

  • Table session
  • Growth diagnosis
  • Alignment programme
  • Market activation

For organisations with several opportunities, markets, propositions or ambitions, but no clear shared priority.

We help you make a sharp choice about which customers you want to matter to, which challenge you solve and where the organisation puts its time, attention and resources. Then we translate that choice into marketing, sales, the offer and the way commercial opportunities are assessed.

A good fit when:

  • there are plenty of opportunities, but not enough focus;
  • the offer has become too broad or fragmented;
  • marketing and sales work to different priorities;
  • growth depends mainly on one-off opportunities and existing relationships.

02

Positioning and story

A clear story that people understand and use.

View Positioning and story

Ways to start:

  • Customer voice research
  • Positioning sprint
  • Brand strategy & brand book
  • Brand & website programme
  • Market activation

For organisations with valuable knowledge and experience, but without a story that customers recognise straight away and employees can tell consistently.

We sharpen who you are for, which problem you solve, which change you bring and why customers choose you. Then we translate that positioning into a story that works on the website, in commercial conversations and within the organisation.

A good fit when:

  • not everyone tells the same story;
  • the website mainly explains what you do, but not why it matters;
  • the offer is hard to explain in a few clear sentences;
  • customers give different reasons for choosing you than the organisation itself does.

03

Strategy to execution

From plan to visible behaviour in the organisation.

View Strategy to execution

Ways to start:

  • Implementation project
  • Sparring partner
  • Programme lead
  • A seat at the table

For organisations where the direction has been chosen, but day-to-day practice is not changing enough.

We translate strategy into concrete priorities, roles, decision-making, collaboration and the behaviour you want to see. Along the way we build a working rhythm that lets teams execute, learn and adjust course themselves. The change shouldn't remain dependent on STOF.

A good fit when:

  • the strategy is known, but teams don't know what to do differently;
  • decisions stall or keep being reopened;
  • departments work from different priorities;
  • progress is measured mainly in activities, not in changed behaviour or impact.

Which solution fits your challenge?

You don't need to know in advance exactly which solution you need. A conversation often starts with a familiar situation:

  • The strategy is in place, but nothing changes on Monday morning.
  • Marketing and sales work hard, but not always on the same thing.
  • There are plenty of commercial opportunities, but not enough shared focus.
  • The story sounds good, but isn't used consistently.
  • The leadership team has made its choice, but the organisation keeps working the old way.

We first find out where the challenge really lies. Sometimes that calls for a sharper commercial choice. Sometimes for a story that brings people together. And sometimes the direction is already clear, but the organisation needs to start working differently.

The solution follows from the challenge, not the other way round.

We work on a project basis, not by the hour: after a free introductory call you'll receive a proposal with a fixed price, a clear timeline and what you'll have in hand at the end.

Every solution follows the STOF rhythm

Whichever route we take, we always work along four connected threads.

01

Look and listen

We start with what is actually going on. We speak to the leadership team, commercial teams and the people who do the work. We put customer insights, plans, experience and behaviour side by side.

02

Make a sharp choice

We bring the challenge back to the choice that really gives direction. We also make explicit what is no longer a priority.

03

Align

We translate the choice into a clear story, concrete roles and coherence between teams. People understand not only what is changing, but also what it asks of them.

04

Follow through

We turn the chosen direction into actions, ownership and a practical working rhythm. That way the momentum lasts when STOF leaves.

See our approach

Challenges we often come across

The strategy isn't being executed

The course has been set, but priorities, decisions and day-to-day behaviour are not changing enough.

Marketing and sales don't work from the same choice

Both teams are busy, but use different goals, language, customer profiles or criteria for a good opportunity.

There are too many commercial priorities

The organisation sees opportunities everywhere, so attention, capacity and commercial clout get spread too thin.

What you can expect from STOF

We combine an outside-in commercial view with an inside-out organisational view.

That means we don't only look at market, customers, positioning and growth. We also look at leadership, collaboration, ownership and the behaviour needed to deliver on a choice.

We don't deliver a plan that ends up sitting beside the work. We work with the people who have to make the change happen and build the approach so the organisation can carry on when we leave.

You don't need to know the solution yet.
